Curiosity and synchronicity illuminate my life. I’m a storyteller of topics as diverse as nuclear physics, nanotechnology, molecular biology, ghosts, and psychedelics. I am the author of Santa Fe Ghosts, two young adult novels, three mainstream novels, a book of essays about my strange encounters with animals including a teleporting snake, and a memoir of being psychedelic drug research volunteer and drinking ayahuasca in the Amazon with a dodgy shaman.
I live in the high desert mountains of my native New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment. I love ravens, dragonflies and koi, enjoy photography, collecting weird sticks and rocks, and have a quirky talent for finding bizarre things in the desert. I’m a part-time nomad, a traveler of the Blue Highways and dirt roads. and find inspiration exploring the Southwest deserts and mountains in my vintage camper with my dog Loki and cat, Tiger.
